How Money is Raised?

Our Oakfield-Alabama Dollars for Scholars chapter generates scholarship funds by soliciting support from the Oakfield and Alabama, New York communities and by holding a variety of events throughout the year.  A portion of the money is raised during our annual mailing and during various events throughout the year. The chapter hopes to make the community more aware of the organization. Donations in any amount will be gratefully accepted. All donations, regardless of size, are tax deductible and may be sent to P.O. Box 102, Oakfield, NY 14125.  

Who may sponsor a scholarship?

Awards may be sponsored in the names of individuals, organizations and businesses. Permanent funds may be established with substantial contributions. Such funds can ensure a perpetual, yearly scholarship in memory of a loved one or in honor of a contributor.

Our Goals

• to increase the number of students receiving scholarships

• to increase the scholarship monies available to students who reside in the Oakfield-
  Alabama Central School District

• to assist students of varied abilities with scholarship dollars

• to give hope and encouragement to students
